NEWS Images from Keller Konya’s Typology of the Subject project will be included in Heist a group exhibition held at Bank. The exhibition runs from June 19th – July 3rd with an opening reception on Friday, June 19th from 7-9pm. Bank is located at 125 W. 4th St. #103, Los Angeles CA 90013. Westernicity, is an exhibition of works that explore perceptions of the west. At the core of each of the work is an investigation of a projected reality of the west. By juxtaposing several works with one another the viewer has the opportunity to explore a complex interplay of ideas that reference our current sociopolitical context through the lens of each artist chosen media. Keller Konya’s "Specimens" from North America’s Most Polluted River project is one of six works included within the Westernicity exhibition curated by Jennifer Wolf. Westernicity is currently on exhibition at Jennifer Wolf studios and can by viewed by appointment, call (310) 846–2614 or email jenwolf (at) ca.rr (dot) com Keller Konya’s Untitled Hedge is included in the group exhibition Mission Accomplished at the Bolsky Gallery located on the campus of Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. The show runs from May 17th – June 6th with a reception on the evening of Friday, May 8th from 6-9pm. Gallery hours: Tues – Sat, 10am – 5pm.
