In many school closure cases little or no information is released to the public.  Secrecy is common because school closures can be politically disastrous.  It is not uncommon for school closures to result in the recall of school board members and resignations.   The cause of the closure of American Theological Seminary is unknown.  Requests for information regarding the cause of closure from former employees have gone unanswered, and no information regarding the closure was reported in the media.
